There is a saying in the Midrash, "Lomah Nimchal Israel L'Geffen". Why is Israel compared to a grape vine? Just as the ripening grape must lean upon an old vine to grow its fruit, so must Israel reco’ve its support of the past to bui'd its future. The tragedy of the American Jewish life is that the past has been torn out thereby destroying the spirit of the future. But this is not so in the life of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Suprun. They still cling to the past and uphold and observe every thing of the traditional orthodoxy, just as their parents did in the past. Not only do they lean toward the past but they are also representing the present in help ing to build a better future for this Jewish community and the people at large. With this spirit prevailing in their hearts, there is a glorious future in store for this beloved couple, Mr. and Mrs. A. Suprun. Mr. and Mrs. Suprun are taking a great interest in this Jewish community and contribute liberally toward the upbuilding of our many institutions. They are af filiated with the following organizations: Congregation Rodfe Sholom Zionist Organization of America Mizrachi Shrine Masonary B'nai B'rith Scottish Rite Hebrew Free Loan
