BOOK OF REMINISCENCE 1924-2023

This Page is Dedicated By The HEBREW FREE LOAN ASSOCIATION To MR. T. C. LEVINE

In grateful recognition of his decade of faithful service to the Association, both as a member of the Board of Trustees and as its president during the years 1958 and 1959. Tommy, as he is best known by his many friends and fellow organization workers, first became acquainted with the inner workings of our Association in the year of 1952 when he was elected a member of the Association Board of Trustees, and it was only a matter of time until he became actively engaged in the functions of the Associa tion by his ready acceptance of several important committee chair manships. It was because of his superior direction and personal efforts, while serving as chairman of the Membership Committee, in the year 1956, that the Association was able to establish a new all time paid membership record that year. And it was the readiness with which he accepted various and difficult committee assignments as well as his willingness to assist others in the fulfillment of theirs, that not only won him much praise and respect from his fellow officers, but also the presidency of the Association in the year 1958. And it was because of his inspiring leadership, while serving as Association president during the years of 1958 and 1959 that the Association enjoyed two of its most successful years of existence. Not only has Tommy built an enviable reputation for himself as an “organization worker extraordinary" in our Association, by the countless hours of devoted service put forth by him in behalf of the Association, but he has also broadened this reputation to other organizations, and resulting in his being the recipient of justly deserved service awards from the Agudas Achim Synagogue, the San Antonio Jewish Community Center, and the Texas State Zionist organization. Because of these many attributes and in sincere appreciation of a "job well done”, the HEBREW FREE LOAN ASSOCIATION is proud to dedicate this page to Tommy with the expressed wish that God will bless him with many more years of good health, so that he may be able to continue with the fulfillment of one of his greatest desires in life, "that of serving his beloved Jewish faith and fellow man".
