Born in Minsk, Russia, September 1886. The son of Isaac and Ida O’Krent. He arrived in the United States in 1888 and came to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he received his schooling. He was married to Gussie O’Krent in 1906. In 1937 he moved to San Antonio where he spent his remaining years. Mr. Samuel O’Krent was a member of Agudas Achim and Rodfei Sholom Synagogues, Hebrew Free Loan Association, Zionist organi zation of America, B’nai-B’rith and Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his widow Gussie O’Krent, son Theodore J. O’Krent, daughters, Mrs. Albert Harrison of Queens Village, New York, Mrs. Nathan Goodman, of Cincinnati, Ohio, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
