Bernard and His Wife Frances Rubinstein

Bernard Rubinstein was born and reared in Vilno, Capitol of Lithuania (then Poland), and his wife Frances Rubinstein was born in Mariampol, Lithuania. Mr. and Mrs. Rubinstein were married in the city of Mariampol, Lithuania. They arrived with their children in the United States and in the city of San Antonio, Texas, in 1937. Mr. Rubinstein is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rubinstein and the grandson of the late Rabbi and Mrs. Isaac Rubinstein, who was Rov in the City of Vilno for 56 years. In addition to his Jewish train ing, Mr. Rubinstein is a graduate of Commercial Business College. He has been in business for himself since the age of 19. He has been and is now engaged in educational, Congregational and Zionist activities. He is past president of the local Talmud Torah (Hebrew School), and is still very active in this institution. For many years, Mr. Rubinstein was chairman of the local Histadruth Campaign Com mittee. Mrs. Rubinstein has been, in addition to enjoying a happy married life with Mr. Rubinstein, a helpmate to him in all of his under takings.
