9 ,
BY HIS BELOVED WIFE, MRS. ROSE PURE Harry Pure, a native of Tennessee, moved to San Antonio, with his parents, in the year 1929, to establish permanent residence in this city. Here he met, courted, and married Miss Rose Spillman in the year 1934, in Agudas Achim Synagogue, and which marriage, withstood the pressures of time, throughout forty most happily wedded years. Harry, during his manhood years, lived a most active and interesting life, as a civilian, as a soldier, and as a devoted husband. As a civilian, he was a most respective and efficient civil service employee for many years, who lived and practiced the biblical teaching of "love thy fellow man” by making innumerable friends, among his co-workers. As a soldier, he built an enviable army service record for himself, by serving as a member of the U. S. Army’s Mexican Border Patrol and as an active U. S. serviceman in France for four years, during World War One. As a husband, Harry proved himself, the "Perfect Husband” by providing his wife with forty years of wedded bliss by the considerate and understanding manner with which he solved their few and insigni ficant marriage problems. Theirs, was the perfect marriage with perfect harmony being the key that opened their marriage to the many years of happiness they shared. Always, they worked together and lived together, as one, enjoying each other’s companionship to the fullest, until death stepped in to dissolve this perfect partnership. Harry Pure was also a man of known generosity, being always ready and eager to contribute his share and more, from his limited financial means, to many local and national charities. Never was a person, seek ing a contribution from Harry, turned away by this generous soul. Until the day of his death, Mr. Pure was affiliated with and supported such organizations as the Veterans of Foreign Wars, B’nai B’rith, Hebrew Free Loan Association, and Agudas Achim Congregation. Even though Harry Pure has gone to his Eternal Rest, his cherished memory will always occupy a permanent place in the hearts of his loving wife and the many dear relatives and friends he left behind. May his memory always remain a blessing to all those who were so dear and near to him. Born April 30, 1898 Died September 5, 1970 DEDICATED THIS 21st DAY OF MARCH, 1971
