FELIX REIF came into this world in Zamosc, Poland on March 19, 1921, and was destined to live through the difficult times of the second World War. On December 13, 1945, he married his beloved wife Ruth Reif. He arrived in San Antonio on the 17th ofNovember, 1950, with Ruth and one child and immediately started to adjust to the new American ways. Felix and Ruth had three children, Sammy, Helena, and Arlene. Felix stood above the rest of his fellow men in his actions and deeds. He was active in almost every Jewish Organization in the City of San Antonio. In 1964, he was selected Man of the Year byThe B’nai B’rith In 1966, he was President of the B’nai B’rith In 1967, he was President of the Agudas Achim Brotherhood In 1968, he was a State Director for The Texas Association of The B’nai B’rith. As if these accomplishments were not sufficient, Felix still found time to be a member of The Board of Directors of both the Agudas Achim and The Hebrew Free Loan. Above all he was an excellent family man and loved his wife and his children very dearly.
